Welcome letters

We send out welcome letters to admitted students no later than two weeks before the start of the semester. The welcome letters are sent to the e-mail address you have provided on universityadmissions.se (or antagning.se). The letter contains detailed information about the introduction day, registration and course information. 

If you are accepted but have not received a welcome letter, please check your spam inbox before contacting any of our study advisors.

1. Activate your student account
Once you are accepted at Lund University, an account and a student identity will be created for you. You will receive information on how to activate your account at the e-mail address you have registered at www.universityadmissions.se

If you have been a student at Lund university before then you already have an account. 

2. Register
At the start of the course, it is important that you register for the course you are admitted to.  Log in to Ladok with your Student Account to register.

  • The registration will be open one week prior to the start of the semester. 

If you have problems with your registration, please contact the study administrator, or you risk losing your spot on the course. Their contact information can be found on in the box to the right.

3. Introductory meetings

The introductory meetings are mandatory to keep your spot on the course. If you are unable to attend, please contact your course co-ordinator. 

You will receive information on your introduction meeting in the welcoming letter and in your schedule on TimeEdit. Select the semester and then use your course code to search for your course schedule. 

Canvas: Learning platform

All courses are linked to the learning platform Canvas where the teachers post information.

You will access your course on Canvas after you have registered to the course according to the instructions above.

On the course page you will find schedules, syllabus, literature lists, reading lists and information from teachers. 

In order to receive the information that you need from us at the department you must ensure that "Announcements" are activated in Canvas. Click on "Account" in the left menu, then on "Notifications" and make the selection.
