Mikael M Karlsson
Background: I have two bachelor degrees from Gothenburg University, one in Genders Studies and one in Philosophy. I also have a master degree in Sociology from Gothenburg University. My master thesis is about (pro)feminist men and emotions. In February 2016, I stated as a PhD student at University of Lund. My wider research interests include critical studies of masculinity, sexuality, social movements, emotions and disability studies.
Current research: My PhD project is just in the beginning. However, it going to focus on sexuality, gender, disability and kinship. The aim of the study is the reach a deeper understanding of how male family members to people with intellectual disability contemplate and manage disability, sexuality and gender.
Teaching Interests: In the fall of 2016, I will teach at undergraduate level.
