Anna Olovsdotter Lööv

Background

I received my Ph.D. in Gender Studies at Lund University in 2014 (Masculinity in the service of feminism: Drag kinging as practice, politics, and desire, 2014). I am currently employed as a postdoc researcher (financed by FORMAS) sharing my time between the Department of Gender Studies, Lund University and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Waikato, Aotearoa New Zealand.

Current Research and Teaching

My postdoc project De-centring Pride: An ethnographic study of Pride festivals beyond the metropolitan areas of Sweden (2017-2018) is a study on experiences of pride festivals beyond the metropolitan areas of Sweden specifically focusing on belonging and the politics of belonging.

I have been teaching courses ranging from qualitative methods and queer/feminist methodologies to theory to thematic courses mainly at the undergraduate and graduate level at the Department of Gender Studies and the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Lund University
