This chapter introduces the fundamental topics explored in the anthology; the diverse, and constantly changing, role of transnational feminism as a theoretical and political agenda within social theory more generally, and within gender studies more specifically, and the other role of feminist transnational struggles in the creation of scholarships of hope.
