The Denver-Lund Study Abroad Programme

The Denver-Lund Study abroad Programme welcomes you as a Denver university student to study Gender studies at Lund University.

During your two years in Lund you will study Gender Studies in a Swedish context, with special focus on theory, methods and thematic areas within Gender Studies. You will deepen your knowledge of Swedish and European welfare systems, feminist understandings of migration and nation and on a variety of methods and methodologies within the Social Sciences. You will also be able to broaden your knowledge within another Social Science or Humanities area of your choice as well as train your ability to independently formulate research questions and write academic texts within Gender Studies.

The Department of Gender Studies at Lund University is located within the Faculty of Social Science.  We consider ourselves transdisciplinary in research and education, with a stronger leaning towards the Social Sciences. Our education is based around concepts of work, intimacy and justice. Research and education are closely interwoven and the courses are taught by well-established researchers within the particular field of the course.
