I am a researcher and teacher in Gender Studies. I defended my doctoral dissertation in 2016; the topic of my dissertation was an ethnographic study of the ways in which young queer people in India negotiate the recognition of their sexuality across different social environments.
I have a longstanding interest in India as a complex society, and currently I am researching the online world of Indian men’s rights activists. I try to explore how they construct and describe their mission, and how they (mis)use the concept ‘gender’ to further their agenda.
