Research Areas

  • Queer studies in the Global South
  • South Asia
  • Social media analysis

Current Research and Teaching

Currently I am involved in a project researching gendered precariousness and vulnerability among female workers in the transnational outsourcing economy. In particular, I look at the policies and practices of Nordic companies that outsource labour to Asian countries.

I have been teaching several courses, ranging from theory to qualitative methods to thematic courses, at the undergraduate and graduate level at the department of Gender Studies and the Graduate school of Social Sciences. I also serve as Program Director of the Equality and Diversity Management bachelor’s program.
