Current research and teaching
My research departures from an interest in understand borders from multiple perspectives; as material, bodily, as well as symbolic practices of control and possibilities for belonging. I wish to investigate this with a focus on national borders and how these affect interventions for school absenteeism in elementary schools, in a Nordic context. My research draws on intersectional feminist and postcolonial
theories, and methodologies, and seek to explore the dynamics of power in processes of national bordering.
I’m a part of the editorial team at the peer-reviewed academic journal Women, Gender and Research.
I also do assignments for Malmö University at the Department of Childhood, Education and Society as a supervisor for bachelor projects.
