Gender, sexuality and health

The Department of Gender Studies has a lively environment characterised by interdisciplinary perspectives and both theoretical and methodological diversity, covering issues of gender, sexuality and health. Health and ill-health in an unequal world are analysed using a feminist view of the body as a field where a number of power discourses create what is normal, natural and right, and with inspiration from trans studies and feminist philosophy of science.
