Gender, intersectionality and migration

The Department of Gender Studies has a strong, well-established research profile covering gender, intersectionality, migration and racism.
Issues concerning cultural identities, diaspora, the significance of national and ethnic borders and racism’s varying character locally and globally are analysed using theoretical tools from cultural studies to post-colonial theory.
This is a research environment that through national and international collaborations has established central perspectives on issues concerning justice, global power relations and exclusion mechanisms.
