We send out welcome letters to admitted students two weeks before the start of the semester. The letter will be sent to the email address you provided in connection with your registration for the course. The letter contains more detailed information about the introduction day, registration and the course. If you are accepted but have not received an introductory letter, please check your spam inbox. If the introductory letter is not in your spam, write to the study advisors.
New students - What you need to do:
1. Activate your student account
Once you are accepted at Lund University, an account and a student identity will be created for you. You will receive information on how to activate your account at the e-mail address you have registered at www.universityadmissions.se.
Activate your student account on Passport. If you need help, you can contact servicedesk [at] lu [dot] se.
If you have been a student at Lund university before then you already have an account.
At the start of the course, it is important that you register online for the course you are admitted to and you want to attend. You register yourself in the Student Portal.
- The registration will be open one week prior to the start of the semester.
If you have problems registering, please contact the study administrator, otherwise you risk losing your spot on the course. Their contact information can be found on in the box to the right.
If you have registered but choose to skip the course, this must be notified within three weeks from the start of the semester in order to register "early interruption", otherwise you cannot apply for the course again. Report this yourself in the Student Portal. If the interruption occurs after 3 weeks from the start of the semester, the course will not be searchable again. Re-registration of another semester is then allowed only to the extent of location and upon notification to the institution.
3. Introductory meetings
The introductory meetings are mandatory to keep your spot on the course. If you are unable to attend, please contact your course co-ordinator.
You will receive information on your introduction meeting in the welcoming letter and in your schedule.
Note: Due to the corona pandemic, schedule changes may occur at short notice.
