Welcome to the Department of Gender Studies! With the information below we hope to make the term start a little easier for you.
General questions about your application and admission
Regarding questions about your application, registered credentials and admission notice, you can contact the admission service:

For questions about eligibility decisions and selection, please contact the local admissions department at Lund University:

We send out welcome letters to admitted students on the third week in August / the second week in January. The letter will be sent to the email address you provided in connection with your registration for the course. The letter contains more detailed information about the introduction day, registration and the course. If you are accepted but have not received an introductory letter, please check your spam. If the introductory letter is not in your spam, write to the study advisors.
New students - What you need to do:
• Activate your Student account at passport.lu.se, see the information below.
• Self-register/web registration, see the information below.
• Go to the introductory meeting (if your course has one), see the information below.
1. Activate your student account
Once you are accepted, an account and a student identity will be created for you. You will receive information on how to activate your account at the e-mail address you have registered at www.universityadmissions.se. Note, however: If you have entered a hotmail address, this information may not always appear.
Activate your Student Account at https://passport.lu.se. If you need help, you can contact servicedesk [at] lu [dot] se. You can find information about the student account on lu.se. If you have been a student at Lund university before then you already have an account. If it has become inactive, go to https://passport.lu.se and reactivate it.
2. Self-registration / web registration
At the start of the course, it is important that you register online for the course you are admitted to and you want to attend (some exceptions exist).
You register yourself in the Student Portal here http://www.student.lu.se/uPortal/f/welcome/normal/render.uP
You do your self-registration / web registration the week before the start of the semester.
If you have problems registering, please contact the study administrator, otherwise you risk losing your place. Their contact details can be found in the fact box to the right.
If you have registered but choose to skip the course, this must be notified within three weeks from the start of the semester in order to register "early interruption", otherwise you cannot apply for the course again. Report this yourself in the Student Portal. If the interruption occurs after 3 weeks from the start of the semester, the course will not be searchable again. Re-registration of another semester is then allowed only to the extent of location and upon notification to the institution.
3. Introductory meetings
You can see in your schedule when the introductory meeting takes place.
All courses are linked to the learning platform Canvas where the teachers post information.
