Elin Lundell
Doctoral student
Background
I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in Gender Studies from Södertörn University as well as a higher education certificate in Folk High School Education from Linköping University.
In my master's thesis “The politics of the disobedient body: a feminist study of embodied resistance in extra-parliamentary social movements” I explored the lived experiences of activists within the Swedish extra-parliamentary left through ethnographic interviews focusing on embodied experiences of resistance, (police)violence, care, and community.
Before being admitted as a doctoral student, I worked as a folk high school teacher with aesthetic forms of expression and aesthetic learning processes in the education of adults studying Swedish as a second language. In the past I have worked as a project manager of a project on creative activism within a social movement organisation dedicated to non-violence, peace, and justice.
