Welcome to Scandinavian Model of Equality: Gender, Class Ethncity and the Social Welfare State!

Study period: March 21 - June 2 2024

This course focuses on debates about the Scandinavian welfare states and critical perspectives on the models of gender equality. Issues such as citizenship and representation in political institutions will be discussed, changes in women´s participation in the labour force, sexuality and social welfare, masculinity studies as well as gender and social change. Overall, you will gain knowledge about Swedish/Scandinavian societies from a gender perspective and to critically analyse how models of gender equality are affected by social relations such as race/ethnicity, sexual identity and class.

Web registration period: 13 - 20 March 

Before the start of the semester, you need to register to the course. You register for the course in Ladok for students. Please use your student ID to log in. The registration is open from 13 - 20 March, after this you will have to contact the administration to register.

Learning platform, schedule and more
